How to Do Tricep Pushdowns
- Stand one step away from the cable pulley, and grip a bar about shoulder-width apart.
- Pull the handle down until your upper arms are perpendicular to the floor. This is the starting position.
- Push the handle down until your arms are fully extended.
- With control, let the handle up again.
Commentary
The tricep pushdown is an isolation exercise for your triceps where it is easy to focus on the muscles working.
Experiment with a handle that feels good for you. Common choices are a bar or a rope.
