How to Do Dumbbell Wrist Extensions

  • Grab a dumbbell with an overhand grip and rest your forearm against your thigh, or alternatively against a bench.
  • Lower your hand towards the floor.
  • Reverse the motion by bending your wrist upwards.


Dumbbell wrist extension trains the muscles in the forearm that extends your wrist. As an alternative, you can perform the exercise with a barbell, or rest your forearm against a bench instead of your leg.
