How to Do Crossbody Cable Triceps Extension

  1. Stand centered between the two cable stations of a cable machine, with the cables attached to the high pulleys on each side.
  2. Hold a cable in each hand and stand upright with your elbows bent in front of your chest so that the cables cross your body diagonally.
  3. Keep your upper arms close to your body and lower your shoulders to stabilize the starting position.
  4. Extend your arms by pressing the handles diagonally downward and away from your body until your arms are fully straightened.
  5. Briefly pause at the bottom, then bend your elbows in a controlled manner back to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Commentary

This exercise engage the triceps throughout the range of motion, thanks to the constant tension from the cable machine.
