How to Do Arnold Press

  1. Start with the dumbbells in front of your chest with your palms facing toward your body.
  2. As you press the dumbbells up, rotate your palms outward so they face forward when your arms are extended overhead.
  3. Lower the dumbbells back to the starting position, rotating your palms inward again.
  4. Repeat for reps.

Commentary

The Arnold Press is a variation of the dumbbell shoulder press that primarily targets the front and medial parts of the shoulder. It can improve both your shoulder strength and stability. The exercise is named after Arnold Schwarzenegger.
