How to Do Lying Bicep Cable Curl on Floor
- Attach a straight bar to a low cable machine and lie on the floor with your head facing away from the cable, so the cable comes from the direction of your feet.
- Grip the bar with an underhand grip (palms facing up) and start with your arms fully extended along the floor.
- Keep your upper arms steady and bend your elbows to pull the bar toward your shoulders, focusing on engaging the biceps throughout the movement.
- Briefly pause at the top position, then slowly return back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Commentary
This is an exercise which provides a greater range of motion, increasing biceps activation and maintaining constant tension throughout the movement thanks to the cable resistance.
You can also perform this exercise lying on a bench.
