How to Do Lying Bicep Cable Curl on Floor

  1. Attach a straight bar to a low cable machine and lie on the floor with your head facing away from the cable, so the cable comes from the direction of your feet.
  2. Grip the bar with an underhand grip (palms facing up) and start with your arms fully extended along the floor.
  3. Keep your upper arms steady and bend your elbows to pull the bar toward your shoulders, focusing on engaging the biceps throughout the movement.
  4. Briefly pause at the top position, then slowly return back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Commentary

This is an exercise which provides a greater range of motion, increasing biceps activation and maintaining constant tension throughout the movement thanks to the cable resistance.

You can also perform this exercise lying on a bench.
